Rifle only Rules & Divisions

Rifle Only Match Rules

Firearm Action Shooting Trials events are intended to be a place for competitors to exercise their Second Amendment Rights in a constructive, challenging, and fun environment.

Divisions available at each match are listed on the Practiscore registration page.  Not all divisions are available at every match.  This changes based upon the host facility rules and event focus.

Rifle Armored division

This division is for people who want to increase the physical challenge of the match by wearing armor. This comes with the benefit of fewer restrictions on shooting equipment.

Rifle Bullpup division

The bullets go BEHIND the trigger.

Rifle Gray man
division

The Gray Man is discreet until called into action. Intended for compact rifles, and SBRs; everything in this division starts concealed until the buzzer goes off.

Rifle GWOT division

This division is for the cloners. The rifle should look like a M4, M16, Mk12, or MK18. The parts don’t need to be exact, but it should pass the 5 foot inspection test of looking close enough to a rifle and accessories issued 9-11-2001 through 12-28-2014.

Rifle Irons division

This is the division to shoot to appreciate how much easier things are with modern optics today. You can use a retro rifle or your modern rifle with BUIS and the optics removed for training value.

Rifle Kalashnikov division

нет. Rifle is fine.

Rifle minuteman division

This division represents what the average person already owns and won’t need to change anything to compete in this division.

Rifle Red Dot Division

While easier than iron sights, red dots are still more challenging at range than doing the same with magnification. Many people have rifles that fit into this division, but don’t take them out to matches as often. This division is your reason to see how fast you can be without magnification.

Rifle Trooper division

This division was founded with the intent of simulating a combat patrol. Troopers will check in and hike all their gear for that day’s shooting into the range. Troopers must carry all their gear from stage to stage in one trip. The upside is they get to use any gear they can carry that won’t hurt our steel. At the end of the day, they must hike all their gear back to the Trooper Check-in.

Intergalactic Small Arms Championship Divisions:

Boarding Party division

Optimized for shipboard breaching missions; the boarding party prefers short and fast firing weapons.

Bounty Hunter division

“No hard feelings. It’s just business.”

You don’t care which side you’re on so long as you get paid.
The Bounty Hunter favors big iron over rapid firing blasters found around the galaxy.

Mobile Infantry Division

““Everyone fights, no one quits!”
Do your part and serve the Federation!

Super Citizen Division

This division represents what the average citizen of the federation already owns and won’t need to change anything to compete in this division.
